Before Indian-American Dennis Muilenburg became Boeing's CEO in 2015, the number of Indian employees at Boeing was around 1,000. 2024: Over the past decade, the number of Indian employees has rapidly grown from 1,000 to nearly 20,000. Keep in mind, Boeing only has a total of 33,000 employees! 2025: The new CEO, Kelly Ortberg, plans to lay off about 17,000 employees, with a significant proportion being Indian employees. Being completely replaced is only a matter of time.
