Vitalik claims that FOCIL and EIP-8141 can collaborate to achieve fast and anti censorship on the chain

Vitalik Buterin pointed out in an article on the X platform that the FOCIL mechanism has important synergies with the Ethereum account abstraction proposal EIP-8411 (based on EIP-7701). EIP-8141 elevates smart accounts (such as multi signature, anti quantum signature, key change, gas sponsorship, etc.) to "Type 1 Citizens", allowing their operations to be directly packaged as on chain transactions without the need for additional encapsulation. At the same time, the privacy protocol can achieve a multi tenant account model through paymaster or 2D nonce mechanisms, obtaining native support. FOCIL provides a fast transaction inclusion mechanism that is resistant to censorship. When combined, smart wallet transactions, gas sponsored transactions, and privacy protocol transactions can be included in the block through one of the 17 randomly selected roles in each time slot, ensuring that transactions are completed on chain within 1-2 time slots. The current FOCIL volume is about 8kB, and it can be expanded in the future to support most transactions in the block entering through the FOCIL channel. Unlike the multi parallel proposer (MCP) design, FOCIL does not control the "last look right" related to MEV, which is still allocated through the ePBS auction mechanism. Vitalik emphasized that even if 100% of block time slots are monopolized by adversaries through the proposer builder separation (PBS) mechanism, FOCIL can still ensure that all transactions are quickly included. Although the centralization risk of proposer roles has not been eliminated, their power has been significantly weakened. Under the EIP-8141 framework, transactions with smart wallets or privacy protocols can be directly received by FOCIL participants through a public mempool without the need for additional intermediaries or encapsulation processes. He concluded that Ethereum is accelerating the upgrade of its core architecture.
