[Institutions: Market Shifts Focus to This Week's Nonfarm Payrolls, Expected to Be Unaffected by Government Shutdown] According to Jin10, U.S. Treasury yields were mixed, and market attention has shifted from the nomination of Waller as Federal Reserve Chair to the labor data set to be released later this week. The U.S. government is currently in a partial shutdown, with lawmakers still negotiating a funding agreement. However, TD Cowen still expects the January nonfarm payroll report to be released on Friday. Chris Krueger of TD Cowen stated: 'We would be surprised if the Bureau of Labor Statistics does not release the employment report. Since funding only lapses on January 31, the Bureau of Labor Statistics already has all the January data before the temporary shutdown. Therefore, as long as the government reopens at some point early this week, there is no reason why the nonfarm payroll data cannot be released on Friday.'
