**[Oracle's AI Aura Fades, Stock Price Nearly Halved from September High]** According to a report by Jinse Finance, the U.S. financial website InvestingLive stated that Oracle (ORCL.N) saw its stock price surge to $345 in September following its earnings report, briefly propelling founder Larry Ellison to the top of the global billionaire rankings. Ellison positioned Oracle as "the backend infrastructure provider for the entire AI revolution," and investors fervently chased Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO), which became the core driver of bullish sentiment. However, two major factors have completely burst this bubble. First is the reassessment of capital expenditures. In its Q2 earnings report, the company raised its fiscal 2026 capital expenditure guidance to $50 billion. Investors realized that building data centers with tens of billions in debt is not a "free lunch," and the market expressed concerns over its debt risks. Second is the delay in data center delivery. Reports suggest that Oracle's data center construction for OpenAI may be delayed until 2028. Previously, optimism around Oracle was based on speed, and if the speed advantage no longer exists, its high valuation loses support. Oracle's stock price fell another 5% today, closing at $177, a nearly 50% plunge from its September high.
