Heard from a friend that Solana Mobile is going to launch a token, so today I finally dug out the Seeker that’s been sitting around for months and activated it. Once the Seeker is activated, it mints and receives a non-transferable SPL Token: Genesis Token. Since August this year, over 95,000 Genesis Tokens have been minted, which corresponds to nearly 100,000 Seekers being activated. Currently, the daily activation rate is holding steady at 200-500 new phones. Also, in the past few days, the number of daily active device addresses (at least one transaction per day) has stayed between 8k–9k. Since the announcement on December 4th about launching the token in January next year, daily active users have almost doubled. As for the phone itself, let’s just say... it works.
