[Delphi Labs COO Questions Octra's $200 Million Valuation Financing, Co-Founder Responds with Full Technical and Operational Network Support]
Odaily Planet Daily News: Kevin Simback, Chief Operating Officer of Delphi Labs, recently publicly questioned the rationale behind the privacy chain project Octra launching a new round of financing at a $200 million valuation. He stated that Octra completed early-stage financing last year with only $4 million in Pre-seed funding, at an estimated valuation of around $40 million at the time. Now, within a year, the valuation has increased more than fivefold, with only a few months left until TGE, yet there is "almost no real demand."
In response, Octra Co-Founder Alex stated that he does not know Kevin Simback. He emphasized that the low Pre-seed valuation was due to the team only having a white paper and initial concept at the time, which is typical of risk premiums. However, the project has now completed sandbox testing, possesses comprehensive mathematical documentation, an open-source PoC, and has launched a fully functional network that has been running stably for several months, providing a reasonable basis for the valuation increase.
