[National Bureau of Statistics: PPI rose 0.1% month-on-month, marking two consecutive months of increase] According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 0.1% month-on-month, marking two consecutive months of increase. The main characteristics of this month's PPI performance are as follows: 1. Seasonal increases in domestic demand in certain industries drove price growth. As regions begin preparations for winter peak energy consumption, seasonal demand for coal and gas has increased. Prices in the coal mining and washing industry rose 4.1% month-on-month, coal processing prices increased by 3.4%, and prices in the gas production and supply industry rose by 0.7%. With the onset of winter, cold-weather and thermal products have entered their peak consumption season, leading to a 0.6% increase in wool weaving and processing prices and a 0.2% increase in down product processing prices. 2. External factors influenced the price trends of domestic non-ferrous metals and petroleum-related industries. Rising international non-ferrous metal prices drove domestic prices in the non-ferrous metal mining and dressing industry up by 2.6% month-on-month, while prices in the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry rose by 2.1%. Specifically, copper smelting prices increased by 2.9%, gold smelting prices rose by 1.4%, and aluminum smelting prices edged up by 0.2%. Meanwhile, declining international oil prices led to a 2.4% decrease in prices in the domestic oil and natural gas extraction industry and a 2.2% drop in refined petroleum product manufacturing prices.
