[Veteran Bitcoin ATM Operator Coinme May Face a 10-Year Industry Ban] According to a report by Jinse Finance, financial regulators in Washington State, USA, have recently filed charges against veteran Bitcoin ATM operator Coinme and its CEO. They allege that between 2023 and 2024, the company improperly recorded unredeemed Bitcoin vouchers from customers as company revenue, amounting to over $8 million, and failed to disclose or remit these funds as required. The regulators also accused the company of failing to maintain the required net assets and submitting inaccurate financial reports. They propose revoking its money transmitter license and imposing a 10-year industry ban, a $300,000 fine, and customer compensation on both the company and its CEO.
