Saw the tweet from the big boss and wanted to share a different perspective. Let’s assume the drop in the USDT to RMB exchange rate is caused by massive outflows, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Bitcoin will drop as well. The crypto space is no longer dominated by the big Eastern country; instead, since 2022, U.S. investors have become the largest trading group for BTC.
In plain terms, even if our friends in China are selling off in large amounts, there are still buyers from Japan, Korea, Europe, and the U.S. Data shows that trading volume during Asian hours is the lowest of the day, while U.S. trading hours see the highest volume.
So, the rise and fall of the exchange rate doesn’t necessarily have a direct relationship with Bitcoin’s price.
