Maama and I, together with the NRM leaders, began the day with a rally here in Bushenyi. You heard Bassajabalaba speak about his friend in Sudan who lost his life and his four daughters to rebels. Sudan was torn by religious divisions, and the suffering is immense. This is why we must treasure peace. Uganda once faced similar dangers, but the NRM restored stability. Supporting the NRM is supporting your own safety and the peace of our nation.
We shall rebuild key roads, including Mbarara–Bushenyi and Kabwohe–Bugongi–Kitagata. I am glad Bushenyi now has 16 government secondary schools, 155 primary schools and 65 private secondary schools, a clear sign of progress. On power blackouts, I will check and resolve the issue. Our electricity supply is strong; the problem may simply be disconnected wires.(Yoweri K Museveni)
