Biggest liquidity, best security, best chance of success 1. "You can just build on l1." Gas is insanely cheap. It is going to stay cheap for the foreseeable future. The gaslimit will keep increasing. Return to mainnet. It's where the liquidity and users are. Generally deploying anywhere else right now is like pushing a ball uphill If gas prices go up, you can always migrate to a rollup. 2. If TX fees of a cent or two are prohibitive, consider whether you can rearchitect your app. 3. Consider architecting your app to be a rollup Fork a stack, some of them will even give you a grant or promote you (unfortunately all too rare on both counts, none of the rollups seem to be particularly good at business). Depending what your app is, you may capture substantially more value 4. Deploy to a rollup. As above, see which will give you grants or promote you.
