First, congratulations to Mantle and OpenBuild for hosting the Meetup event in Shanghai. Today, I’ll share some updates about @Mantle_Official’s mainnet v2 Everest upgrade, which is now running stably. Let me give you a quick overview. The launch of the Everest upgrade by Mantle Tectonic marks a major leap forward for the Mantle network. This upgrade not only strengthens our existing infrastructure but also fully prepares us for the upcoming Ethereum Pectra upgrade, ensuring seamless compatibility with the Mantle network and laying a solid foundation for future development. One of the core highlights of the Everest upgrade is the official launch of EigenDA, which introduces a revolutionary data availability solution to the network, significantly improving data management efficiency and security. @0xMantleCN has maintained a deep collaboration with EigenDA. Before EigenDA went live on the mainnet, Mantle used Mantle DA (a third-party DA layer powered by EigenDA) as its DA layer. After EigenDA’s launch, we immediately completed the migration on the testnet and, following production environment testing, finally migrated to the Mantle mainnet. Regarding the Ethereum Pectra upgrade’s L2 adaptation, as an Ethereum L2 scaling solution, Mantle promptly began adaptation work to address changes brought by the Pectra upgrade, including the new fields added to block headers in RequestsHashEIP-7685 and the new transaction type introduced in SetCodeTxEIP-7702. Let’s talk about the new features. Since being built on the OP Stack Bedrock, Mantle has been committed to enhancing op-geth functionality through scalability development. In this upgrade, we introduced support for the new RIP-7212 precompiled contract and added the eth_getBlockReceiptsjsonRPC interface. MetaTX, independently developed by Mantle, is designed to provide gas fee sponsorship to lower the entry barrier for users into the @Mantle_Official ecosystem. With the introduction of EIP-7702 in the Ethereum Pectra upgrade, Mantle will offer the same gas fee sponsorship feature based on this upgrade, so MetaTX will no longer be supported. Lastly, a quick reminder that the XHunt and @0xMantleCN event ends tonight at midnight!
