Aztec, co-led by the two giants A16Z and Paradigm, is taking public sales to the next level. The project team has made it clear that there will be no airdrops. So, what about the nodes, early contributors, and community members? Well, they’re rewarding you with public sale whitelists. Want an airdrop? Come and pay for it . This public sale accounts for 14.95% of the total token supply, with over 300,000 whitelist early bird spots available for participation before December 2nd. The official public sale will run from December 2nd to 6th, and anyone can register.
Aztec will use Uniswap’s CCA (Continuous Clearing Auction), a new on-chain price discovery mechanism launched this month. The project team will first set a base price in ETH, which for Aztec is 98,493 ETH (approximately $290 million). Then, they’ll determine the public sale period, during which tokens will be auctioned block by block to ensure no one can grab all the tokens at once. The CCA mechanism is also an innovative attempt by Uniswap to cater to the bull market for new launches. As the first project using this mechanism, Aztec has to give us something juicy, right?
