SpaceTEE has raised $10 million in funding for L1 @ SpaceComputerIO.
I have looked at the official bluepaper (https://(spacecomputer. io)/see official website)
Some key information:
-SpaceComputer wants to completely move the highest security part (L1) of blockchain to satellites in Earth orbit, utilizing the characteristics of "physically tamper proof+extremely difficult to DoS/review", to create a blockchain root trust layer that will never leak, never be shut down, and never be bribed
-At the same time, in conjunction with the high-speed L2 on the ground, it achieves safe and fast large-scale applications.
-The two-tier design (Celestial L1+Celestial L2) cannot run entirely on satellites like Ethereum due to its extremely low satellite bandwidth (initially only in the KB-MB range per day), high latency (several seconds to tens of minutes), and expensive storage.
-Final settlement, secure root trust, and bridging contract on Celestial L1 satellite (Hard Finals in seconds to tens of minutes)
-Uncharted L2 (geological) Earth sorting, high TPS, user direct interaction Pre Fineness (punishable fast finality) millisecond to second level
Innovation of consensus protocol:
The most core technological innovation: Fast Pre Finality
-The ground L2 committee runs any highway consensus (Tendermint, HotStuff will do)
-For each decision reached, all validators must sign an additional round of "attestation" (with pledge endorsement)
-Users only need to collect 2/3+signatures from Attestation to immediately believe it is "Pre Final"
-If forks or errors are discovered in the future, direct evidence of double signature/wrong signature to L1 for punishment, and the fine can compensate the victim
SpaceTEE hardware facilities:
By sending satellites (with 64 bit ARMv8 (Cortex-A53 or higher) for spaceTEE calculation), please refer to page 5 of the blue paper for specific hardware equipment
Core team: Dahlia Malkhi (HotStuff author, Novastrom founder), Daniel Bar, etc
A very imaginative project
