Zama will end in 3 days. Actually, when it comes to FHE, most people will first think of Zama, which turns homomorphic encryption into a "plug and run" development kit; But if we need to increase the increment at the L1/L2 level, Fhenix should also be put on the observation list. Fhenix is FHE's native Ethereum Layer 2, which can migrate existing DApps to encrypted versions with minimal modifications
@Zama raised a total of 22 million US dollars in two rounds of financing (Seed 7 million; A round of 15 million, with participation from Hack VC, Multicoin, and others. In terms of progress, the Redact testing network has been opened, and confidential transfers, confidential ERC20, and encrypted order books can be tested; Frontier is expected to integrate with Threshold Network for decentralized key management; TGE is likely to be available in the first half of 2025, and test points are expected to be mapped for airdrops.
On Zama's side, Secret Testnet whitelists, with multiplication delay reduced to 37ms. Single confidential transfer of gas is only about 12% more than usual, and Solidity is basically painless to access. It also provides a "confidential machine gun pool" template to directly combat spying and clamps. My judgment: @ zama is more like FHE's "Intel", standardizing privacy computing power; Fhenix is working on "Ethereum" to undertake applications and narratives. The next wave of privacy DeFi is highly likely to bloom on these two lines, and obtaining testing qualifications and roles early is the winner.
