[U.S. Government Efficiency Office Clarifies It Has Not Been Disbanded Early] The U.S. Government Efficiency Office (DOGE) posted on the X platform stating that the Reuters report claiming it has been disbanded is fake news. The department will resume its routine Friday updates in a few days. The American people authorized President Trump to modernize the federal government and reduce waste, fraud, and abuse. Just last week, the department terminated 78 wasteful contracts, saving taxpayers $335 million. Additionally, according to the Global Times, U.S. officials posted that Reuters' report about 'the U.S. disbanding DOGE early' is 'not true.' Reuters quoted U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Cooper as saying that this department 'no longer exists' and that it is no longer a 'centralized agency.' However, on the 23rd, Cooper personally responded on social media platform X, stating: 'Reuters' editorial tactics are truly "brilliant," taking a few sentences out of my entire comment just to create a clickbait headline.'
