Let me do a good deed here,
I was just here for the drama, but seeing Huobi's PR skills, I couldn't stop laughing.
The PR team took Sun Ge's already bad reputation and smeared it with a handful of ash.
Maybe Huobi's team thinks PR is just about arguing and clapping back. As long as they win the argument, they think they can save face and their image.
The whole USDJ situation was so simple—just issue a straightforward announcement explaining the facts. But no, you had to demand everyone praise you, make people delete posts, and accuse others of spreading rumors.
Once it gets to this point, from a PR perspective, it turns into: you call me a liar, I call you a scammer, and then we dig up each other's dirty laundry. What started as casual onlookers now turns into opposition.
The best part? When it comes to the dirty laundry, Huobi's response was: 'We can't deny the pGALA incident, we admit it. But you're spreading rumors, and that's not okay either.' Then they add, 'These KOLs shouldn't try to change the subject.'
They actively dragged the narrative back to the part of history where everyone hated Sun Ge the most.
Lighting the fire themselves, adding fuel themselves, and then trying to shift the focus themselves—only to leave Sun Ge roasting on the flames.
Pretty wild. But if you look at it from a traffic perspective, this round still goes to Sun Ge.
