I am encouraged by the strong show of support from our regional and international partners who joined us for a Goodwill Mission in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. With Heads of Government and other representatives from key development and financial institutions on the ground with us, this is truly an all-hands-on-deck effort. I welcomed the Prime Ministers of Barbados, Grenada, and Antigua, the President of Guyana, the President of the Inter-American Development Bank, and country representatives from CAF, the World Bank, and other partner agencies. Their willingness to be here, to listen, and to witness firsthand the challenges facing our people speaks to the strength of our shared commitment. Jamaica deeply appreciates this spirit of cooperation. We are charting a path toward recovery that protects our people, restores our communities, and reinforces the resilience of our nation and region.(Andrew Holness)
