Great example of how Bitcoin rhetoric on this site of a tiny echo chamber.
In the real world, a significant (well into double-digit) percent of Bitcoin transactions are now lightning and nearly every new wallet (and many existing ones) support lightning.
Yes, a good chunk of those are custodial, and that’s bad for Bitcoin in the long-run, but much of it doesn’t require any trusted third party. Trying to shove your head in the sand and pretend lightning isn’t increasingly *the* way people interact with bitcoin just means you’re disconnected from reality and going to build towards things that have no impact.(Matt Corallo 🟠)
