There's one thing you need to engrave in your bones: a project's technology, backing, and funding have absolutely nothing to do with the performance of its token price.
Token prices are only closely related to marketing, hype, storytelling, token distribution control, market-making, or the financial strength of the team.
When we evaluate projects, we love looking at funding, backing, technology, and products.
These are the hard strengths.
But for a team that only has hard strengths, focuses on building behind closed doors, and doesn't know how to market or create hype, these are useless.
We also need to analyze the team's soft strengths.
Soft strengths: marketing and branding, community, partnerships, and other resource integrations.
Recently, many projects that have skyrocketed meet these criteria.
Meanwhile, many projects with great products, excellent team credentials, and monopolistic technology have seen mediocre token price performance.
This is a clear sign that the project's soft strengths are lacking.
In the crypto market, hard financial strength determines the longevity of a project,
while soft strengths determine the project's market cap ceiling.
When researching projects, don't just focus on surface-level data anymore.
For example: funding amounts, investment institutions, or technology implementation.
All of this information can easily be found on various websites.
Everyone can see this surface-level data, and if making money were as simple as relying on good-looking data, then it would be way too easy.
We need deeper research.
The more you understand the composition of a project's team, the clearer your direction will be.
This requires digging deep through various information sources, including token distribution.
Understand the project's token release rules and figure out the actual circulating supply at launch.
These are the key data points.
At the same time, don't use the valuation of other projects in the same sector as a reference for new projects anymore.
This is a common misconception among retail investors in the past.
For a team with decent hype, solid technology, strong backing, good products, high token control, and financial resources,
it's not a dream for their project to pump 10x or even 100x at launch.
With the above points in mind, take another look at the performance of new and old projects,
and you'll see that what I'm saying is true.
