[South Korean Exchange: Foreign Investors Sold 7.26 Trillion Won in Stocks in the First Week of November, Setting a Weekly Record]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, the South Korean Exchange stated on Sunday that in the first week of November, South Korea's major stock indices experienced the largest single-week sell-off by foreign investors in history. The sell-off was driven by profit-taking and concerns over a potential bubble in artificial intelligence (AI) stocks, which led to a market downturn. The exchange reported that from Monday to Friday, foreign investors sold stocks worth a total of 7.26 trillion won (approximately $4.98 billion). This amount set a record for the largest single-week sell-off by foreign investors in the history of the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI), surpassing the previous record of 7.05 trillion won in the second week of August 2021.
