A lot of friends have been asking me privately how I choose projects to write about. Honestly, most of the time, I know there are plenty of good projects out there where just aping in would definitely yield good returns. But my personality makes me hesitant to write about them, mainly because of a few concerns and reasons: First, I don’t have enough energy to write about everything. Even keeping up with daily updates feels like I’m already pushing myself hard. Plus, it’s impossible to fully understand every niche or specific project in a short time, including finding angles, reading whitepapers, and creating visuals. Second, competition for many popular projects is still super intense. Competing with so many KOLs feels like a waste of effort and energy, and it’s just not worth it. Third, I do have some concerns. Popular projects usually have well-established communities. For example, with certain projects, some friends have suggested I could take on a DC role or something like that. But I feel like the community belongs to its members, and competing with them doesn’t feel fair to me. It also makes me uncomfortable. Lastly, it’s just my personality, I guess. When everyone is eager to jump in, I always feel like taking the “narrow path” might lead to unexpected miracles. I’m always thinking about the odds—it’s probably just a habit.
