Accompanying a friend to replace a power supply in the server room, the fans were roaring, and the air was full of dust. I was yawning when my friend suddenly asked, 'Do you think GPUs could one day take jobs and make money on their own?'
I didn’t think much of it.
Then I got home and saw @cysic_xyz release their roadmap—ComputeFi’s three-layer closed loop and dual-token structure all laid out.
At that moment, I realized—AI might not be the endgame; computational power itself could be the next big market.
If computational power can be split, take jobs, and settle payments, this pile of hardware might actually turn into assets.
Here’s what I’m focusing on lately:
1) Roadmap revealed on 10/28: ZK acceleration → network coordination → ComputeFi marketplace, integrating all three layers with the goal of turning GPUs/ASICs into programmable, verifiable income sources.
2) Plenty of posts are interpreting the mainnet/TGE launch to be in the November window (some even betting mid-month), but there’s no official announcement yet—don’t gamble on dates.
3) Yapper rankings are still being updated, with hints on the timeline suggesting a 'see you at the top next week' vibe.
4) The whitepaper discloses the dual-token system (CYS/CGT) and verifiable settlement, emphasizing the transformation of heterogeneous computational power into composable assets.
Dev teams think: the real battle isn’t about 'having chips' but 'having actual workloads.'
Whether the launch day can immediately onboard tasks like ZK proofs, AI inference, etc., and stabilize utilization will determine if APR is just a fleeting moment. The dual-token + verification mechanism is a highlight, but ultimately, it’s about cash flow, not slogans.
My approach: keep an eye on mainnet announcements and task boards; aim for rankings within your capacity, don’t burn out; wait for real tasks and fee rates before doubling down.
