As part of our grid restoration efforts, we have directed the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) to explore relocating sections of the power grid underground, particularly in Montego Bay. While undergrounding is costly, it offers long-term resilience and stability. Our goal is to strike a balance between restoring power quickly and building a stronger, more disaster-resilient energy network for Jamaica.(Andrew Holness)
