I checked out some x402-related projects and came across this one—it’s pretty interesting. It dropped from a peak of 3M to 300K and then bounced back, now sitting around 1M.
It’s a DePIN + x402 project, and the dev has actually implemented quite a lot. PAYAI and PAYPAL folks are following it too.
The main idea is using the ESP32 microcontroller to create x402 payment scenarios, allowing devices to receive USDC payments via Bluetooth (BLE). They’ve also developed an Arduino library and an Android app. I majored in electrical engineering back in college, so seeing microcontrollers and Arduino brings back memories.
They’ve also created some complete open-source implementation examples, like smart coffee machines, bike rental locks, vending machines, and smart parking payment systems. I checked out their GitHub, and the dev has written a Python SDK. Once devices are connected to the network, AI Agents can directly discover, pay, and call hardware services.
In a way, this feels like an early prototype of Robotics + x402, enabling DePIN to be more than just nodes—it’s machines that can “collect money and work” on their own.
The risk is probably that this is an Indian-led project, so let’s hope they do it right and don’t mess things up
Always DYOR.
