Solving L2 liquidity fragmentation and bringing sequencing control back to L1 are currently the top priorities for Ethereum. Recently, we've seen Ethereum's transaction count and active addresses hitting high levels (processing around 1.6 million transactions daily, with over $180 billion in stablecoins on-chain). At the same time, gas fees are at a low level. This is inherently a good thing, indicating strong fundamentals and a positive natural growth trend. However, if Ethereum fails to capture the ecosystem's value, it's not good news for ETH. Ethereum L1 needs to gain more benefits from L2's development. Unfortunately, this issue has never been one of the Ethereum Foundation's top priorities. If Ethereum wants to claim the crypto throne, this hurdle must be overcome instead of being delayed. @VitalikButerin
