Honestly, my advice to many friends around me is to move to Singapore, especially if you don’t have kids yet or your kids are not in school yet. This is because during the kindergarten stage, kids can attend government schools, and getting into a government primary school is much easier if they’ve already attended a government kindergarten. However, if you wait until after primary school to transfer to Singapore, the exam pass rate becomes very low. While attending a government school doesn’t guarantee it’ll be great, it does save a significant amount of money, and the teaching quality in government schools is pretty good. That said, Singapore’s government schools are quite competitive. Although the atmosphere is more relaxed compared to schools in China, academically it’s not easy—especially with Singapore’s famously challenging PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examination). If you don’t have kids, Singapore isn’t as expensive as it might seem. For single people working as digital nomads in the crypto industry, $5,000 per month is enough to get by. For two people, $7,000 is manageable. Of course, this is for basic living expenses—if your budget is $10,000 per month, life can be pretty comfortable. Sponsored by Bitget | @Bitget_zh
