I signed a decree conferring the title of Hero of Ukraine on the commander of the “Liut” brigade, Maksym Kazban. Tragically, posthumously. Yesterday, in Lviv, a farewell ceremony was held for the Hero of Ukraine, warrior of the 3rd Assault Brigade, Vitalii “Tourist” Karvatskyi. Eternal honor to our fallen Heroes. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 684 of our warriors from various branches of the Security and Defense Forces have been awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, including 428 who received the title posthumously.
