According to BlockBeats, on July 21st, Coinbase product manager Conor Grogan released data on Sunday showing that 913111 Ethereum (ETH) tokens (approximately $3.43 billion) have been permanently lost due to user errors and code vulnerabilities, accounting for 0.76% of the current circulation. If we include the 5.3 million ETH destroyed in the 2021 Ethereum improvement proposal EIP-1559, the actual total loss has reached 6.2 million ETH ($23.4 billion), accounting for 5% of the total.
Conor Grogan emphasized that this $3.4 billion is only permanently locked ETH and does not include situations such as lost private keys that are accessible but actually lost.
