According to Golden Finance, on July 20th local time, Japan will hold parliamentary and senatorial elections for voting. Except for some areas, voting hours are from 7:00 to 8:00 local time. The rated number of seats in the Japanese Senate is 248. Senators serve a six-year term and elect half of their seats every three years. This Senate election will compete for a total of 125 seats, including 124 seats for re-election and 1 seat for the Tokyo constituency by election. The total number of non elected senators from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito Party is 75. If the ruling party wants to obtain a majority of seats in the Senate, they need to obtain a total of at least 50 seats in this Senate election. (CCTV News)
