According to Bloomberg, the attack by the North Korean hacker group Lazarus Group on the exchange Bybit resulted in the theft of approximately $1.5 billion in funds, bringing the total amount of cryptocurrency theft in the first half of 2025 to $2.17 billion, surpassing the full year level of 2024.
