Last week, Binance HODLer airdropped and launched LA. After receiving the airdrop, I did some research work and also recorded and shared it.
As a ZK project, Lagrange's core product is to validate off chain computation or data analysis, generate proof that a certain off chain computation result is trustworthy, and provide on chain support 🆚 Off chain data provides connections.
It is also ZK technology, which is very different from the L2 expansion solution zkRollup. ZkRollup is the process of batch packaging L2 transactions into L1 for verification, which is an interaction between chains.
For example 🌰
For example, when we participated in early Web3 projects, we would contribute a large amount of data such as transaction volume, points, etc. Generally speaking, in TGE projects, the project team calculates the contribution of all users off chain, which leads to high trust costs in the community and makes it difficult for the project team to prove that there is no rat trap. Similar unfair airdrop cases occur from time to time.
But if all of this data is to be put on chain and tokens are issued based on contributions, the cost of on chain computing is very high.
@LagrangeDev's solution can solve similar problems by allowing data analysis to be completed off chain. For example, it first queries all users and transaction volumes over all time periods, and then generates a zero knowledge proof 'each person traded xxx USDC'. This proof is then verified on chain, and the entire process is open and transparent, with each user able to verify it. When the on chain verification is passed, the smart contract is triggered to allocate corresponding airdrops to each user.
Lagrange has three core products, DeepProve, ZK Prover Network, and ZK Coprocessor, with different use case scenarios. For example, the core scenario of ZK Coprocessor is to ensure airdrop fairness, while DeepProve is more focused on verifying the credibility of AI results. They all use ZK technology to solve problems related to on chain verification, and can be combined and used in certain complex scenarios.
Lagrange is like an on chain version of a 'notary office', and ZK technology is the notary.
