According to BlockBeats, on July 14th, the curtain of Capitol Hill Crypto Policy Week officially kicked off, and the agenda originally belonging to the House of Representatives has been upgraded to a nationwide legislative feast. As the Senate Banking Committee prepares for a high-level roundtable meeting and is about to release a draft discussion on market structure, coupled with intensive activities organized by industry organizations, the war on cryptocurrency legislation has spread throughout the Capitol building. Majority Leader Steve Scalise (Republican Louisiana) will release an agenda today to vote on three important Republican led cryptocurrency bills: the GENIUS Act, the CLARITY Act, and the Anti Central Bank Digital Currency Act. If everything goes smoothly, the stablecoin bill without additional clauses may be delivered to the White House this week, and the other two bills will be transferred to the Senate. Of note are: If the CLARITY Act and the Anti Central Bank Digital Currency Act are open for amendment, it is expected to trigger multiple rounds of voting and prolonged debate. The official website of the House Rules Committee has published some proposed amendments. On Wednesday of this week, the oversight group of the House Ways and Means Committee will hold a hearing titled "Making America the Cryptocurrency Capital of the World: Building 21st Century Digital Asset Policies," with a focus on discussing tax policies, filing rules, and innovation incentives. Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott (Republican South Carolina) will chair the "Future of Digital Assets" Congressional Roundtable on Thursday morning. Industry leaders such as Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, Algorand founder Silvio Micali, and former SEC commissioner Michael Piwowar will discuss topics such as regulatory clarity, market compliance mechanisms, and innovative accountability. The Senate version of the CLARITY Act - Market Structure Discussion Draft will be released as early as Wednesday. The draft is based on the six principle framework proposed by the committee last month, advocating for clarifying regulatory authority and establishing a modern digital asset regulatory system.
