According to BlockBeats, on July 14th, after SpaceX prepared to invest $2 billion in xAI, Musk stated that Tesla plans to hold a shareholder vote on whether to invest in xAI. Musk responded to a post on X by saying that any decision to support xAI is ultimately not something he can do. Musk publicly asked X users last year whether Tesla should invest $5 billion in xAI, and at the time he wrote that he was just testing the waters. But he said at the time that Tesla's board of directors and supporters needed to give the green light to this decision. Tesla disclosed in April this year that xAI was a customer of Tesla last year, and the commercial, consulting, and support agreements signed with Tesla generated $188.3 million in expenses. The majority of this transaction ($191 million) involves xAI's purchase of Tesla's utility scale energy storage battery Megapack. (Golden Ten)
