Coinbase launches Onramp API, supporting developers to build "use Apple Pay to purchase coins" feature in their applications

Coinbase Developer Platform announces the launch of the Onramp API, allowing developers to build the ability to purchase cryptocurrency using Apple Pay in their applications without the need for pop ups, redirects, or account logins. This feature is now available on Moonshot. This release marks the first application programming interface based deposit channel supported by Coinbase. The Onramp API features include: providing customizable user experience, application as interface, no need for redirection; Quick integration, a single endpoint can create and execute deposit transactions; Support Apple Pay to achieve the fastest conversion from fiat currency to cryptocurrency; It also supports guest checkout without the need for Coinbase account login. However, currently this feature is only available in the United States, and users need to have a US phone number and pay in US dollars.
