The US Air Force suspends SpaceX's rocket projects in Pacific atolls

Odaily Planet Daily News: On July 4th local time, the US Air Force has suspended SpaceX's plan to test hypersonic rocket cargo from Pacific atolls. A spokesperson for the US Air Force stated that the Air Force is exploring other locations for the project. It is reported that the project will test reusable rocket landing vehicles that can transport up to 100 tons of cargo to any location on Earth in approximately 90 minutes. Previously, biologists and experts have stated that the project will pose a threat to many seabirds nesting in the Johnston Atoll Wildlife Refuge. The US Air Force had previously stated that it would conduct an environmental assessment of the project, but the release of the assessment draft was postponed due to opposition from environmental organizations.
