Russian Central Bank: Digital Ruble to be launched in September 2026

According to Cryptonews, the Russian central bank announced that the country's central bank digital currency (CBDC), the digital ruble, will be officially launched nationwide on September 1, 2026. Russia's largest commercial bank is expected to offer customers a full range of CBDC trading options starting from September next year, while small and regional banks will follow suit in September 2027.
