I haven't been sitting outside for many days,
Today, I was invited by @ Ethean_yu to attend the lobster party hosted by @ OurTinTinLand and @ boundless_xyz.
I listened attentively to Boundless's introduction while gnawing on his chicken feet.
You can't just listen to it for nothing. Since the project is good, you should review it like writing about your feelings after listening.
They are a relatively low-level and backend infrastructure, and Boundless can be understood as a "cloud computing service provider+verification insurance company" in the blockchain world.
In traditional blockchain, it is particularly expensive to perform complex calculations, such as running an AI model on the chain, playing high computing games, or integrating cross chain data, which incurs high costs.
But Boundless's approach is:
Outsource these recalculated tasks and use zero knowledge proofs (ZK) to verify that there is no chaos.
Suppose you are in a room escape game and have cracked a super difficult password. You really want your friends to know that you are amazing, but you don't want to tell them the answer - you just want to prove that 'I really know the password'.
What do you do at this moment? You can ask a friend to come up with a challenge, such as: "You enter the secret room through the left door, and if you really know the password, you come out through the right door
You went in - sure enough, you came out from the right after a few minutes. Your friends believe that you do know the answer, but they have no idea what the answer itself is.
This is ZK: Zero Knowledge Proof. You can prove 'I know/I did the right thing', but I won't tell you how I did it.
What exactly does Boundless do?
Boundless is packaging this ZK technology into a "tool platform".
It does a few things:
1. Prover is responsible for calculating and generating ZK proofs;
2. validators (such as nodes on the chain) only need to verify this proof, saving a lot of costs;
3. Developers do not need to understand ZK mathematics, they can use the benefits of ZK by writing ordinary code (such as Rust);
4. All of these logics also support cross chain: for example, if you are calculating something on Arbitrarum, you can provide the results to Base for verification.
So Boundless can be understood as:
A platform specifically designed to assist Web3 projects in "doing heavy work, providing proof, and not leaking information". It's like hiring a smart and compliant OEM factory, not only can it calculate, but it can also prove that you really calculated, and others still believe you.
Even more impressive is Boundless's support for "full chain integration", where apps and data from different chains can be combined and used like building blocks. Previously, when you were doing DeFi on ETH, it was difficult to call data from Arbitrarum or Solana. Now, with Boundless, it's like opening up a data highway.
At present, their testing network is open to miners with GPU resources, but the threshold is 10 4090 cards, and miners will receive airdrops.
If there are 10 4090 cards, it is obvious that they have no connection with Xiao San. So today at the lobster banquet, I also asked, as a retail investor, how can I participate in this project. They replied that they are currently involved in Kaito's yap and said it would be a good airdrop, which is why this tweet was created (hahaha).
Overall, I think their team members are very sincere and give me a good impression. The project is also very solid. Those with GPU resources can participate in their testing network, while those without GPU resources can post and learn knowledge themselves.
