One super weird edge case is a lot of our regulatory laws are written for “people”
-Can’t offer gambling to US persons
-Can’t bring people together as buyers and sellers of an asset without being an exchange
-etc
But it’s unclear how that applies to AI agents.
Does one need a license to offer a casino to AI?
Will sentient robots have the same regulatory protections as humans?
Seems like a fascinating and deeply untested legal arbitrage.
