Sahara is about to surpass $1 billion in TGE and pre-market valuation, and the heat of the AI x data asset race is rapidly rising. At the same time, multiple AI projects are also queuing up to issue coins, and the entire sector has entered a new round of preheating. Codatta @ (codatta. io), a lower level but rarely discussed data annotation platform, is expected to be TGE soon. At present, no coins have been issued, only OKX has raised $2.5 million in seed round financing. I only tested the tasks of this project before, just like Sahara did. Some people have seen it as Sahara's "benchmark project" when doing tasks before, but in my opinion, it actually cuts into a completely different dimension: If Sahara is a 'data trading platform', then Codatta is more like a 'manufacturing factory for data assets'. One solves the circulation problem, while the other focuses on asset production. The two have both division of labor and may complement each other. At present, AI model evaluation is becoming more and more like a "leaderboard show". Recently, many friends have topped the Chatbot Arena leaderboard, with Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini competing back and forth, and even some people joining groups to bet on who will win. But have you really thought about whether this list can still be trusted? The answer is: it's getting worse and worse. Because some organizers have revealed that models can be tuned based on user preferences, and even anonymous evaluation mechanisms themselves may be contaminated by voting armies. You think you're participating in model evaluation, but in reality, you're just watching a rehearsed plot. In the midst of this chaos, Codatta launched Arena, which may sound like just "another ranking list", but what they did was actually rebuilding the trust base of the evaluation process. Each question was initiated by users, answered by model blind testing, and evaluated by community real name voting. The voting data, answer content, and rating logic were all written into the Avalanche subnet Kite, which is stored on the chain and cannot be tampered with by anyone. That is to say, whether you are OpenAI or a "neighboring knockoff big model", coming here is just bare combat without a backend. Entrance to Codatta Arena: https://app. (codatta.io) This Arena is a key focus of Codatta, but it is only a part of the project. Codatta's greater ambition lies in establishing a new logic about 'data'. In the past, the training data used for the development of large models was all free and free of charge, whether it was open-source corpora or the "I agree" button we clicked, they never asked whether you agreed or not, and whether you wanted to pay. And the mechanism proposed by Codatta is: you set questions, you vote, you review, these are no longer useless work, but a data asset that can be confirmed, traced, and participate in profit sharing. You can earn points every time you make a valid annotation or participate in a review. When the token goes live (TGE), these points will be converted into airdrops. This is the motivational logic that Web3 should have: data is not in vain, behind it is human labor and judgment. So in this sense, Arena is not just an "evaluation function", it is a showcase of this data equity logic: turning every interaction with the model into a process of producing data and accumulating assets. Just like Arweave turns storage into assets, Render turns computing power into assets, and Codatta turns data behavior into assets. In addition to technology, Codatta has recently joined two ecosystem partners in external collaboration: @ SaharaLabsAI and @ irys_xyz, one of the most radical practitioners in the field of privacy computing and the other a leading protocol focused on incentivizing on chain storage. The former ensures that user data will not be leaked during evaluation participation, while the latter ensures the permanence and distributed archiving of on chain data. With the support of these two factors, Codatta's "on chain data ownership confirmation+annotation incentives" capability can be integrated into deeper AI native scenarios in the future, such as enterprise private domain evaluation and sensitive industry evaluation systems. What's going on now? From the data, it has accumulated over 300000 users and 2 million verification data. Although no coins have been issued yet, the entire logic has been implemented: the points system has been launched, the staking mechanism is available, and user behavior can be mapped to token shares. It's not a PPT project, nor is it a cyber visionary, but a protocol based product that can see the path step by step. We often say that the mission of Web3 is to 'assetize' user behavior, but most projects ultimately turn this' asset 'into a' grooming opportunity '. Codatta is not. Its path is destined not to be so lively. Are you asking if it is the future giant? I don't know But you have to ask at this point in time, is it one of the most original and verifiable evaluation protocols for AI+Web3? The answer is affirmative. As AI systems become more like black boxes and evaluation results are increasingly manipulated, there is always one thing that tells us: Is this model really feasible? You have to say it before it counts. Many people have not heard of this project. In the midst of the AI data boom, Codatta's business line is very comprehensive. Although there is currently not enough hype and attention, boldly predict that OK or Binance should have its place. What do you think? The comment section provides your insightful opinions.
