According to Decrypt, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in the United States recently sent a letter to xAI, an artificial intelligence company under Elon Musk, demanding that it resolve its alleged violations of the Clean Air Act within 60 days or face legal action. The NAACP accuses xAI of operating 26 unlicensed gas turbines in its Memphis data center, failing to install necessary pollution control equipment, and potentially becoming the largest industrial pollution source in the area.
