Coinbase is lobbying for this, but it’s not going to happen. (Ask me how I know.) Market structure and stablecoins will be separate, and that’s perfectly good. GENIUS Act - and with it 2 trillion of critical demand for Treasuries - will pass as is, and then it’s on to the next.
