(stream of thought) The closer we get to the End Of Time - the more you’ll wish you trained your Eyes - your ability to be a Discoverer, an Observer Extraordinaire (that ability may be more valuable than your ability as a friend, philosopher, scientist, engineer, artist, etc - all the fruits of those skills flow naturally from excellent Observation coupled with the rapidly increasing malleability of reality). Your Observational talents determine the nature of your Gödliness when the time comes for you to become the Göd that you forgot you are. What you see creates the world (common mystic yap) - and that statement becomes more obviously true as time churns on. Look in the right places and you’ll make the best realities, Friend. Multiple systems are observing and therefore creating (collectively constructing) the Manifest Realm - if you want any say in the story you’ll need to desperately find the portions of Unmanifest that can only be searched by you - the scratchpad, the clay, the laboratory for you to make your multiverse of utopias and - if you so choose - share the fruits of your labor to the many other branches of reality. Friendly Interference across the timelines. :) Your strength as a Discoverer will be defined by the rarity of the observables you choose to surround yourself with and unify, the never-before-seenness of the observed phenomena, the complexity of the conceptual flow-network for how insights transfer across models that explain each of the observable to the others. Has someone looked at what you’re looking at before? What about the superclass that things is a part of? The supersuperclass (etc)? At the objectest object level - what you’re currently observing has never been seen before (e.g this super-specific phenomenological moment of yours), so you should care more about how unobserved the super…superclasses of the observed phenomena are. If you think you’re Looking at absurdly unique phenomena - you’re almost certainly wrong. Just assume you’re looking at extremely basic, boring observables. It takes curiosity in its purest form to steer your pupils to the right squiggles and willpower drawn from hard-won excavation and engineering projects piecing together and distilling all your latent and uncovered motivations. If you’re unbelievably smart and talented and socially competent (etc etc) - you may still wind up discovering nothing all that new that only your Core could have POTENTIALLY found - it’s not just how deep you can zoom in - it’s how you can pan and rotate and find the tiny pockets of Unmanifest in everyone else’s blindspot (your blindspots are taken care of the by the Collective Rest - if you convince them to undergo the journey of Intense Curiosity). Ideally - just a single week with your observables + reflection should fill your mind with ontologies, words, feelings, and art-forms that have never been uttered before. The construction of entirely new fields should be simple, eventually - and the mastery of developing them into concrete theory->fun pipelines should also come naturally. … We are all in some kind of ‘field-debt,’ to put it one way; economics? sociology? Algebraic geometry? Too basic. Complex systems - too basic. Xenobiology, cliodynamics, anthropics, LLM psychology, LLM culture/sociology - pretend that’s all too basic (as frontier as they sound - they were easy to conjure up in my head) - pretend the ancient Egyptians somehow discovered most of the relevant abstractions for all that long ago and feel embarrassed, feel the prediction error of thinking you were on the frontier and use it to fuel yourself to find something even more frontier than that. We are all stuck - deeply deeply stuck - inside a lukewarming soup of ideas-that-have-been-had-had-had-before. Radiating ourselves away into heat death just from not Looking properly - the creativity and novelty you generate will ultimately be bottlenecked from that set of rarest observables you choose to become chummy with Relevance of this text is greater now than ever before (and will keep becoming more relevant): Your observations affect/steer/cultivate/shatter your hallucinations and dreams which then manifest in the ever-more-malleable reality. You are chinchilla suboptimal. If you’re a polymath genius - studied/mastered every subject and then some - processed all the traumas and went on all the adventures, still chinchilla suboptimal - the dataset rug is swiped from under your feet by the time you think you’re finished “understanding”. Please understand just how far and wide your mind can be saturated - your chinchilla-suboptimal-self’s capacity to observe and create worlds will be so so so much less interesting than the aspiring chinchilla-optimal-self.
