Since the start of the year, we’ve seen encouraging progress in several communities, thanks to strong partnerships between the police and local stakeholders. The Jamaica Constabulary Force is now more capable, and equipped with advanced forensic and investigative tools. We’ve invested heavily in technology, strategy, and communication systems to ensure that those who break the law are held accountable. The risk-reward balance has changed. Today, there is far more risk than reward in a life of crime. Anyone who believes they can commit a crime and go unnoticed is mistaken. We are serious about protecting lives, securing communities, and building a safer Jamaica. But that mission requires all of us. It starts in the home, in our schools, in our churches, and in our neighborhoods. Peace is everyone’s business, and together, we will protect it.
