Bitcoin developer Peter Todd is developing a mechanism to suggest that Bitcoin Core nodes automatically disconnect nodes that perform "cleaner" attacks on their Libre Relay software. Previously, Todd's push to raise the default OP-RETURN data limit for Bitcoin Core to nearly 4MB sparked controversy. Opponents use "cleaner" software to disguise themselves as nodes for broadcast interference, preventing the spread of big data transactions. The new version of the rules is planned to be released with Core v30 in October, and Todd is stepping up countermeasures to defend his on chain data expansion plan. (Protos) https://www.
