As a reminder, the UCMJ is strict. You do not have full freedom of speech, and have no freedom of political expression when in uniform. It holds officers to an even higher standard, to maintain “the decorum of the armed forces” and always hold “behavior becoming of an officer and a gentlemen” If an officer was caught booing yesterday in a political rally, that alone could result in demotion or dismissal normally. But now we know the chain-of-command, of the base, as directed by Hegseth: -screened the audience for political views -encouraged loyal engagement -and allowed Trump merchandise, sold on the base grounds, directly to service members *while in uniform* Heads should roll for this. If the army fails to take action, then when Dems retake Congress in the mid-terms the Armed Services Committee needs to gut house of every senior officer in this chain of command. This is dangerous behavior that showed the flawed character of every single decision maker in that chain of command!
