Last year, while communicating with some EF members in Bangkok, I learned about Spin off's internal team's plan for an independent company. The EF member who was chatting with me at that time told me, 'When I interact with your media, my colleagues always give me a face, but I feel it's necessary for everyone to know what we're doing.' (Even so, they still don't want to get involved in many topics, feeling that EF's pursuit of political correctness is a more effective means of confidentiality than signing DNA.) The most common thing many members said to me was, 'We don't care about price.'. I think at that time, EF was still very concerned about the happy "infinite garden" and would consider "doing things decently".
But in the next round of market trends, the poor performance of ETH prices has caused people to lose patience with EF's so-called inaction, bureaucracy, personality cult, ecological corruption, and other issues. This enormous public opinion pressure has also driven the call for organizational change within EF. At the end of last year, EF member Max Resnick was expelled from EF shortly after publicly questioning the Ethereum roadmap, and was later taken in by Anza, the core development entity of Solana. But since the beginning of this year, we have seen more and more EF members speaking out, questioning EF's organizational efficiency and demanding change.
At this moment, Tomasz Sta ń czak appeared in everyone's sight. This young man with rich experience in traditional finance and a deep understanding of technology seemed to be a "compromise figure" that could be accepted by both EF conservative veterans and fresh reformist blood. Therefore, in March of this year, this young man became EF's new executive director. But looking back now, this executive director's style of action seems to be different from everyone's expectations. He is a true "rule breaker" who engages in behind the scenes manipulation and public lying. "Doing things decently" does not seem to be his priority.
From the counterattack against the "awakening culture" to the election of Trump's "common sense party", the world seems to have lost patience, care, and pursuit of "dignity", which has given "compromise figures" more opportunities in the political world. At a small scale, there are people like Tomasz, and at a larger scale, they are 🐻 Like Trump. These 'compromisers' first appear in the field of vision with a neutral posture that does not touch the core principles of both sides, but after gaining actual power, they become' rule breakers' that catch everyone off guard.
