Paraguay President's X account is under attack, posting false news related to 'listing Bitcoin as legal tender'

According to Reuters, Paraguayan President Pe ñ a's X account is suspected to have been hacked on Monday local time. The account posted an English post accompanied by a Spanish government statement declaring that the country has designated Bitcoin as a legal tender and plans to launch a $5 million Bitcoin reserve fund. The Paraguayan government subsequently issued an official statement, stating that the president's account had abnormal activity and may have been accessed without authorization, and requested that the public not believe the content of the relevant posts until officially confirmed. The Paraguay national cybersecurity team is working with X platform to investigate this matter.
