There’s a certain deep satisfaction you feel when you are privileged to make a difference in someone else’s life. To touch young lives, especially when you see the unmistakable potential before you, is a special gift and a feeling that is near impossible to explain. When George mom told me her son passed for Calabar and needed a laptop, it wasn’t a matter of “if” I was going to ensure he got that laptop, it was a matter of “how quickly”. Well yesterday I had the great honour of presenting that laptop to (boy’s name) and I just know he’s going to use it well. As he told me thanks for this device, my heart swelled with joy. Moments like these remind me every day that THIS is why I do what I do. There are so many talented boys and girls all across our country and some of them just need a little head start. Whether that’s a laptop, a little support with tuition, lunch money or even a nudge in the right direction. I see you. And I am committed to helping each of you because when we invest in you, we are securing the brightest possible future for our country.
