According to Bloomberg, Reddit has sued AI company Anthropic in San Francisco Superior Court, alleging that it has illegally crawled Reddit content over 100000 times since July last year for training AI models, violating platform rules, and abusing user data privacy. The Chief Legal Officer of Reddit stated that they had attempted to negotiate a licensing agreement with Anthropic, and the lawsuit was a "last resort" to force them to return to the negotiating table.
